Jermey Oliver 90 points!"Deep, dark and brooding, with a sumptuous presence of slightly jammy dark cherries, plums and dark olives backed by sweet cigarbox/chocolate oak and robust but pliant fine tannins. It's slightly overcooked but also lightly herbal, with lingering tarry nuances. It's very plump assertive, but it does perhaps lack a little freshness and brightness at the finish."

Wine Advocate 90 points!"The 2004 "Lenswood Abbott's Prayer" is a blend of 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon. It was aged for 16 months in French oak, 70% new. Purple-colored, it has an alluring bouquet of pain grille, clove, cassis, red cherries, and black currants. Bordeaux-like, it currently lacks generosity but 4-6 years in the cellar should round it out. It will drink well through 2020."
