This is quite something. A rich river of tannin and hulking, blackberried fruit. Clove, coal, sparks of cedarwood and mineral. Ferrous. You don't just want to drink it, you want to mine it. Great, warm length. Swagger of tannin is unashamed. Will be very long lived."

Huon Hooke 95 points!"Deep, intense, bright, purple/red colour. Gently meaty charcuterie-like aromas, the palate offers the same flavours encased in generous tannins. The wine is concentrated, rich and dense, but also retains elegance and style. There's a core of sweet fruit. Long and harmonious: it drinks well now and should cellar superbly.
