"From a vineyard in Krondorf. 80 year old vines with 8% Mataro. Juicy, purple, ripe raspberry, brown spices. Gummy feel, saucy and spicy, tannin has some grit, and finish is jubey and fairly long. Feels a little different from the usual offerings from Head, in terms of Grenache, though that’s perhaps a function of the vintage." - Gary Walsh, Wine Front
