Medium bodied to taste, although very intense with nectarines and grapefruity acidity mingling with richer creamy lemon butter and nutty flavours. Clove spice oak and barrel work lends savoury complexity and there's some mineral character too. Excellent length closing dry, savoury and spicy. Powerful but not over the top, and while the oak may be a little too assertive for some, there's no denying the quality here."
