An elegant yet powerful Pinot Gris!
"The Gewurztraminer Reserve has a clear, golden yellow color, with an expressive floral nose redolent of roses, as well as apricots and tropical fruit. It’s fresh and supple, complex and rich, with an impressive structure. Tastes of exotic fruits and spices with a peppery/ginger finish – well-balanced and slightly dry."
The Lorentz family has been making wine since 1836 in the heart of the Alsace. Charles Lorentz Sr. developed his vineyards on the hills of Altenberg de Bergheim, in the foothills of the Vosges Mountains. Today the Estate has grown to 79 acres in this extraordinary terroir, with 3.71 acres planted on the hills of the Grand Cru Kanzlerberg and 29.65 acres in the Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergheim. The current owner/winemaker Georges Lorentz, is the seventh generation of the family firm, headquartered in the medieval village of Bergheim, in the Haut-Rhin.
Firmly convinced of the need to preserve the environment, owner and winemaker, Georges Lorentz began the transition to organic viticulture in the early 2000s, becoming fully organic in 2009, converting all vineyards (33 hectares).
The name EVIDENCE reflects the respect we have for the biodiversity in our vineyards, as evidenced by the return of game birds to our land, which has inspired this label. The feathers represent the wine’s finesse and balance, while also alluding to its wild and natural nature."
