BARREL FERMENTED CHARDONNAY DELIVERING FLAVOURS OF MELON, GRAPEFRUIT AND WHITE PEACH. THIS IS A MINERAL, FOCUSED AND REFINED WINE FROM GROSSET.  

"This is another stellar vintage of the Grosset Piccadilly chardonnay. At present, there are some cedary, cashewy notes that will become less overt over the next twelve months and allow the stone fruit flavours – white peach and honeydew melon – to shine even more brightly. This chardonnay is powerful, intense, multi-layered and yet has underlying restraint. Crisp and vibrant to finish." - Grosset

 

"You get swept along by the pear flavours, the tart nectarine, the cashew, the cedar spice. There’s a smokiness here but it’s subtle and integrated; it almost tips over into walnut. As with the 2018 release this is nervy and super young; it’s formed but only just. You certainly wouldn’t want to drink it now; it needs at least another 18 months in bottle. Everything here though feels complete; it will blossom beautifully in time." - Wine Front
