[SOLD-OUT] Grosset Apiana Fiano blend 2015

Another surprise packet and a triumph for Grosset, this is only the second vintage of ‘Apiana’ – a unique or at least rare blend of semillon and fiano. The fiano vines are extremely low yielding, so the complexity and intensity of the fruit combines wonderfully with the clean, fresh citrus characters of the Watervale semillon grown on the same site. There are voluminous citrus aromatics and powerful lemon citrus flavours along with a marvellous textural quality which shows well with food. It has good weight and body in the mid-palate and a dry finish with crunchy natural acidity. Try it with barbecued fish, roasted quail or grilled chicken.
