"‘Poplar Holme’ was the name given to the ‘Roennfeldt’ family homestead, built when they emigrated in the Barossa Valley in the latter half of the 19th century. It remains the name of the vineyard from where this Shiraz was sourced. Planted close by our own Marananga vineyards in 1963, the red/ brown loam soils riddled with clay are the perfect foundation for producing lush, full flavoured red wines.
This is a Barossa Valley Shiraz made by Greenock Creek that tastes as you would expect it to be. Layers of plums, black cherries and seductive, silky tannins framed by wax candle and exotic spices from new French Oak maturation.
