"This dry grown version of Mataro is dark and brooding with cranberries and anise intertwined with earthy and roasted meat notes. Typically rustic, almost metallic in structure the wild forest berries flow through the palate with underlying tar and molasses richness.

As always this is what I like to call a funky wine. Not in a bad way mind you, but a wine that is less about the fruit profile and more about the secondary earthy/meaty characters. Too often lost in GSM blends, it is great that we can showcase a true Mouvedre for you.”
