"Pear, orange blossom, a little white pepper and ginger, lemongrass and lime leaf, and I really like this sort of exotic flourish the wine carries in this vintage. There’s pear and orange, a smidgen of sweetness, but also a pleasing dusty texture and grip. The finish is all pear and perfume, and offers excellent length. A delightful wine." - Wine Front
"Koshu is a white grape variety indigenous to Japan. How Koshu, which originated in the distant South Caucasus, arrived in Japan remains a mystery to this day, but after more than a thousand years, rather than falling out of favour but rather greatly treasured, it is a grape variety dear to the hearts of winemakers born and bred in Yamanashi.
Fresh with an overflow of fruity aromas such as white peach, pear, orange and orange peel, floral notes of sandalwood and jasmine, and spicy aromas of white pepper and clove. On the palate, smooth and round, with refreshing acidity and umami
Grace grow their grapes without using herbicides or chemical fertilisers. In 2016, they commenced the conversion of their vineyards to organic viticulture. For the European varieties, and Koshu, they aim to combine high quality viticulture with sustainability.
Grace will continue their winemaking history/legacy, but in an environmentally friendly way." - Grace
