[SOLD-OUT] Grace Gris de Koshu 2018

Koshu grapes, the signature grape variety of Japan, make a dry wine of delicacy and minerality.

"Pear and lime, slight fresh mint and white flower perfume. It’s glossy and flinty at once, a subtle bitterness in with lime and apple, a nice crunch on the finish, and the merest suggestion of sweetness, like honeydew melon or similar. The most accessible in style of the 2018 Koshu, but so good to drink."

- Wine Front

"Grace Winery, named after the Three Graces, was established in 1923 in Katsunuma, the birthplace of Japan’s wine industry and today the wine hub of Japan. They believe good wines come from grapes which bear the characters of the place they originated from. They make constant effort to improve how grapes are grown in order to enhance their quality.

Their Koshu grapes, the signature grape variety of Japan, are grown along the mountainous area of the region, which lead to wines with more concentration and minerality. It is Grace’s vision to always bring the highest quality wines and the joy of wine drinking to you.

Clear and bright lemon yellow colour and hints of green. On the nose, green apple and fresh notes of lime, followed by crispy scents of acacia flower and lemongrass, accented with white pepper and clove spiciness. The overall tone is refreshing, as is a wine in its youth, full of fruitiness. The wine is dry with a subtle impression of tender sweetness from the fruit. Lively acidity shows very well the cool weather of the year. A balanced, fresh and fruity wine which is a pleasure to drink and enjoy."
