Nick Stock 94 points! Best Italian Varietal! When Rick Kinzbrunner turns his attention to something like nebbiolo, you'd expect a wine every bit as good as this. Eerily like a wine of the Langhe, this has bright-purple and red cherry fruit aromas, plenty of anise and fine spice, fragrant perfume too. The palate is full of energy and life, brimming with perfectly ripe red cherry fruits, some slightly darker nuances too, really supple tannins stretching long through the finish with a gently grainy texture.
