"Made from mainly Sangiovese grapes, selected in Farnetella, in the municipality of Sinalunga, south-east of Siena and north-west of Montepulciano. The vineyards, almost entirely south-west oriented, are located on a well exposed and ventilated plateau at different heights between 220 and 560 meters above sea level. The soils are made up of stratified sands and silt with a modest presence of clay and a more widespread stony and calcareous component."
Intense ruby red color with purple hues. On the nose a fruity scent of small berries, notes of anise and sweet licorice (typical of the Sangiovese of this land), well integrated with a light spiciness. Soft on the palate, with a good aftertaste of fruit and light vanilla." - Castello di Farnetella
