"A satisfying expression of buxom shiraz, for those who appreciate the style. Blueberry, floral lilacs and coffee grind to chocolate confectionary notes, define the attack. Fermentation was carried out across open-top fermenters, partially 'wild'. Maturation ensued for 14 months in French and American oak (40% new), parlaying firm, toasty tannins that corset the wine's sheer mass. Anise, menthol and a spray of pepper complete the package." - Wine Companion
