There's plenty of oak of the vanilla/nougat/cocoa kind here, but it's well measured and of high quality, along with regional seaweed/nori, crème de cassis and blackberry " rich and seductive. Full bodied, lavish ripe mouth coating tannin, dark fruit, density and length " there's a lot of good stuff packed in here, and it delivers firmly and confidently, without going over the top. Gets a big YES from me.

SRS has fast arisen as a Wilyabrup flagship, albeit in tiny volume and half the price of some. Impeccable purity, streamlined refinement and distinctly regional gravel structure denote a great Cabernet season.
