"This is a masterful statement of bright, complex vineyard-driven character and insightful winemaking." - Nick Stock
"Very pale pink gold with light pink hue. Very good limpidity and good brilliance.
Good intensity, needs a little bit of aeration to express the ranges of odours. Spicy (nutmeg), fruity (peach) and floral (peony) are forming a mix which is evolving as the wine is aerated.
The first impression is tactile with a slight 'frizante' touch, followed by the creamy texture and a refreshing acidity. The wine is then showing the aromatics seen on the nose. The volume of the mouthfeel is balanced by the acidity and the spritz, and is showing some length with the aromas.
2013 was a dry year hence the decision not to take any 'saignee'(bleeding) from the reds. The resulting wine is quite intense, with a strong mouthfeel allowing this rose to match perfectly the summer antipasto."
