"This is another excellent release. Weighty and (very) ripe but with a half-nod to elegance; the tannin is etched fine, the finish is stretched long, the flavours are dark but fresh, and not overly or too sweet. Coffee grounds, woodsy spices, blackberry and roasted plum. There’s a hover of game and hay-like notes about the nose but the palate is juicy and sustained. It’s smooth but not mushy; everything here feels quite perfectly handled."
