"Takes 30 months in American and French oak, such is the style. Take it or leave it. Blackberry, plum, dried mint and aniseed, spice, toast and coffee. Full bodied, not heavy especially, with an almost silky web of tannin and quite pronounced acidity. Toasty coconut oak is, of course, a large player in the flavour profile of the wine, though the perky and pure fruit of the boysenberry and blackberry persuasion carries it along without much complain. Long and slightly saline in the aftertaste, and if you'll humour me, it kind of feels very clearly drawn. Probably will cellar for as long as you want to keep it."

Lots of drying, savoury tannins, some baked or cooked fruit, almost overripe hints. A massive wine: very full-bodied and frim. Rich and dense in the mouth. Will seemingly cellar long-term."
