Aged on lees for 70 months!
Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media 95 Points!
“One of the many highlights in this range, the NV Extra Brut Grand Cru V.P. (Vieillissement Prolongé) bristles with energy from start to finish. Two important vintages (2008 and 2006) come together in this release. Lemon oil, chamomile, pear, hazelnut, acacia and wild flowers open up in the glass, but it is the wine's interplay of power and freshness that is totally beguiling. There is so much to like. The current release is 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, 60% 2008 and 40% 2006. Disgorged November, 2015. Dosage is 2 grams per liter.” - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media, August 2016
"The NV Grand Cru V P Extra-Brut (VP stands for Viellissement Prolongé or extended ageing) is an assemblage of approximately 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, and it is not disgorged any earlier than after six years. The youngest cuvée is based on 2008 (60%) and 2006 (40%), and was disgorged in December 2015. Clear, deep and nutty on the nose, this is a rich yet pure and fresh, straight and firmly structured blend that is still very young; it will gain further complexity over the years. The grapes for this cuvée are sourced in the grand crus of Ambonnay, Bouzy and Verzenay." - Stephen Reinhardt, eRobertParker.com
