"From a single vineyard called Yabtree, like the brand that's out there. 'It's just a really unique site, right on the banks of the Murrumbidgee, slopes right up off it', explains winemaker Nick Spencer, 'youngish vines, but on really hungry soil full of quartz, rocks everywhere, and lots of mica and mineral looking stuff. It comes across as more gritty, denser and powerful in fruit character.

Smells great. Rustic charm, somewhere between exotic spice, clod earth, dark fruit and mixed dried herbs. Dense scents, heady and attractive. Want to drink it straight away too " medium bodied, fine sandy tannins, shows with bright fruit but lots of savouriness, pepper in the mix and with great freshness. It slides around the palate with crispness and yet concentration. Absolute guzzler, but lots going on."
