The 1999 Shiraz Oscar Semmler, a selection of the finest lots, was aged 24 months in 100% new French oak. Boasting additional power as well as flavor, it exhibits a saturated purple color, and a sweet nose of melted asphalt, blackberry liqueur, pepper, and vanilla. Voluptuous, concentrated, and rich, with the tannin well-concealed by the wine's intensity, it will drink well for 12-14 years.
