"The Morgon cru is located on the hills of the town of Villié Morgon in the North Beaujolais. The climate is continental and the small plots from which this wine comes benefit from a south-eastern exposure overlooking the Saône valley. At an altitude of 200-300 meters, these vines, over 50 years old, thrive on basements of old, weathered granite, rich in iron oxide." - Dominique Piron

"Almost incense-like perfume, cherry and raspberry, plenty of spice and subtle earthiness. Medium-bodied, juicy cherry, but precise too, stony tannin, a smattering of aromatic herbs and spice, cool feel, and a long finish leaving some firm but fine tannin in its wake. Lovely." - Wine Front
