"A soft and mineral expression of Sauvignon Blanc from the terroir of Pouilly in the Loire Valley. Dry and fruit-luscious, it tastes of citrus and melon, with hints of blackcurrant bud. Distinctly mineral and in the mouth, you can make no mistake that this is French Sauvignon Blanc and couldnt be more different to New Zealand!
For more than 60 years, the Chollet estate has managed to make a place for itself among the greatest wines in Loire. The soil has the same, highly sought after Kimmeridgian (fossilised Oyster Shells) base as Chablis and whilst the wine is made from Sauvignon Blanc not Chardonnay it displays the same fresh, stoney, delicously mouth watering character for a fraction of the price!
