Warm blackberry and dark plum flavours are at the fore, with plenty of development showing too as forest floor, dark chocolate, cigar box and leafiness. Tannin and acid are perfectly resolved. "A classic showcase of the cabernet character of Stoney. The 2017 vintage begins with plenty of dark fruit and a flashing herbaceousness—think just-crushed mint leaf—before more fruit presents; currants, blueberries. The length is solid and layers nicely with time. Oak texture is fine and well integrated. Drinking fantastically now, but a few years in the cellar will only improve it." - Winery
