Jeremy Oliver 94 Points!"Stylish and elegant, this savoury cabernet is equipped with the strength, balance and structure it needs for the long term. Earthy and meaty, with scents of undergrowth and cedar/vanilla oak beneath its fresh aromas of small berries and plums, it is backed by youthful herbal, snow pea-like influences. Underpinned by a dusty and fine-grained spine of crunchy tannin, it reveals a fleshy but deeply layered presence of laid-back fruit, chocolates and cigarboxes, finishing long and firm, but with a satiny smoothness and a lingering herbal aspect."

"The Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of four varieties, resulting in a classic Bordeaux wine style (90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot). The vines were first planted in black cracking clay on a Jurassiac base in 1973. Traditionally veraison will happen in February and picking in mid April. The north facing vineyard and extended sunshine hours ensure the fruit is fully ripe. Traditional winemaking techniques are employed such as extended time on lees, open vat fermentation, regular racking hand plunging and assemblage between first and second fermentation. The Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon spends a minimum of 2 years in new French Oak.
Aromas of blackberry, blueberry and ripe cherry. Menthol, clove and anise.
Hints of cedary oak. Flavours of ripe sweet dark cherry and plums supported by elegant fine grained
tannins. The oak is perfectly balanced. The finish is savoury, velvety and long."
