"Chablis 1 er Vaillons is a 1 er Cru from the left bank. The name of this climat evokes the particularity of an elongated space between two high zones or small valleys. Located at the top of the hill, very well exposed south, it is an early terroir. The Kimmeridgian limestones are very present here and are covered with a layer of dense clay. The very open and clear place allows the circulation of the winds and makes it a very healthy microclimate. There, our 80-year-old Old Vines give all their expression.
Very beautiful pale gold color with soft green reflections. The nose is charming and aromatic. It reveals a nice exotic fruitiness supported by a frank minerality. The palate is straight and eloquent. It is a beautiful harmony between maturity, aromatic purity and finesse." - Gautheron
