Chablis 1 er Mont de Milieu, is a 1 er Cru from the right bank (the bank where the Chablis Grand Crus are also located). The name of this climate evokes the particularity of this hill which once housed in its middle a border between the county of Champagne and the duchy of Burgundy. The sloping hillside facing south-southeast is protected from the winds by the wood that overhangs it. Finally, the very homogeneous limestone subsoil provides a soil conducive to long and slow maturation." - Domaine Gautheron
