"This “All The Dirts” Chardonnay is now a mainstay in the Dirty Three stable. Perfectly suited to the South Gippsland climate, we strive to make Chardonnay that is complex, long flavoured and textured. Our style is modern Australian- fresh bright fruit, layers of texture and crisp mineral acidity.
We have been lucky to secure grapes from four fantastic sites in South Gippsland. First is Toms Cap, near Yarram, which delivers very linear but, fruit driven wines. The second site Silverwaters, is a heavily maritime vineyard overlooking Westernport Bay. Here the wine is rich and full flavoured with stone fruit, but with excellent acidity. Berrys Creek (Dirt 1), where we also source Pinot and Riesling, is a lovely north facing vineyard 10 mins from Leongatha. Here the wine is fine and mineral. Tilson (Dirt 2), again another site we grow Pinot Noir, is an east facing site that brings length, through the amazing acid purity the site delivers." - Dirty Three Wines
