"There's a coolness and reserve in this wine, but built into the textural profile is flint and funky lees work for interest. It's seriously good to taste, opens after time and though slender and shy, is expressive in its quiet way. Excellent work from Tod Dexter."

"The vineyard was planted in 1987, but no wine was released under the Dexter name until 2006. It's a long term game all right.

Gentle oak spice, almond, citrus, a little flint and smoke " a light but sure touch here. Clear and precise " again with the citrus and almond but with white peach chiming in. Cool feeling and delicate lacy acidity that's a tiny bit wet vintage-y, yet shows its best side and presents as composed and 'European'. Flinty finish of excellent length. Beautiful wine of modest, but confident, proportions."
The Wine Front, April, 2013
A typical southern Victorian 2011 with modest 12.5 per cent alcohol and a very refreshing style. Pristine nectarine and grapefruit aromas translate to the palate, which is lean and crisp, nervy and fine with great length and a tightly-focused finish. Should age well.
Huon Hooke, Gourmet Traveller Wine August/September 2013.
