It’s botrytis semillon, fortified and aged in barrel for 10 years I believe. The toffee comes straight at you; the coffee kicks in after. It’s dusty and licoricey, fresh with acidity and brightened by orange rind notes. It’s very sweet but it’s not heavy; it moves relatively rapidly through the palate. Length, sure, there’s enough – without being anything outstanding. Nothing is out of place; it will please a lot of folks.
Campbell Mattinson, Wine Front, Aug 2017
"Deepest gold flecked with green. The nose offers up caramel, roasted coffee beans and honey. The palate has layers of grilled peaches and dried figs. The texture is rich and viscous. Luscious, yet balanced by fine acidity. The finish is long and satisfying. "
