[SOLD-OUT] Darling Park Robinson Chardonnay 2012

"Fruit is sourced from Robinson Vineyard and tended to organically and with 'sustainable practices' by the hand of viticulturist John Brooks. The vineyard is located in Moorooduc, Mornington Peninsula.

Light vanilla cream and candle wax aromas with some more hefty nutty, stone fruit scents coming in through the swirls of the glass. Richness. In the palate, powerfully built and coursing across the palate, but finishes citrussy and light and fresh. Stuff to chew on up front, but a lively chalkiness and that tang of acidity helps keep the wine trim and great to come back to. Oak is set back in the fruit showing a light cedary burr, but all up it's pretty enjoyable fare."
Mike Bennie, Wine Front, December 2013
"Full yellow in colour. The bouquet is earthy and soft, round and plump. There's a slightly malty note, and a hint of orange juice, and the palate is very upfront and accessible. Some savoury qualities on palate too, and it has length. A satisfying drink."
Huon Hooke, The Gourmet Traveller Wine Guide 2015.
