Robert Parker 93 points! 'Not a winery to rest on the status quo, d'Arenberg's newest offering is the 2002 The Sticks and Stones Tempranillo/Grenache/Souzao (45%, 43%, and 12% respectively, the latter being a Portuguese varietal). Unfortunately, only tiny quantities are produced of this terrific effort. Its inky/blue/purple color is followed by aromas of roasted meats, violets, blueberries, blackberries, incense, and a hint of Chinese black tea. This medium to full-bodied, loaded 2002 boasts a terrific texture and formidable concentration. I'm a sucker for young wines, but this one could use 1-2 years of bottle age it should last for 10-15 years.'
