"Aniseed, blackberries, toast and tar with a pretty dried flower perfume " smells terrific and the oak is beautifully applied. Full bodied with savoury earthy flavours mingling alongside bright berry fruit -typically McLaren Vale. It has the chewy, slightly desiccated tannins of the vintage, but they're rugged rather than raw. Length, appeal and character all ticked. Not cheap but it's up to the marque."
