Mike Bennie 92 points! "Lighter shades of Pinot but enjoyable for freshness of cherry-imbued fruit, the hit of spice, undergrowth and cedar in tow. Satiny texture, though a light pucker sits in the palate after each sip. Finely-honed Pinot Noir with some cellar time availale."

"It's all wild yeast, it's all de-stemmed, it sees no new oak though it's all declassified "Curly Flat" pinot noir " i.e. it's not purpose-grown, it's the result of the winery's final classification/cull. It's grown and made as if it's going to be in Curly Flat's top-priced release.

Good release. Very. Deep flavoured, perfumed, spicy, immaculately polished and presented. Smells, feels and tastes expensive. Cherry-plum, undergrowth, foresty notes, wood spice. Dry, tannic, integrated finish. Pretty much spot on from start to finish.
The Wine Front, July 2014

"Light red colour with a purple rim. Very fragrant strawberry and raspberry aromas, the palate weight is medium and intense, with no shortage of flavour, drive or length. The colour misleads, as it does so often in pinot. Delicious wine with lavishly fruit-sweet mid-palate and succulent finish and aftertaste."
Huon Hooke, The Gourmet Traveller Wine Guide 2015.
"Initally floral aromatics surround an array of red fruits in a wine that is at once brooding and elegant. Complexing savoury secondary characters of cold cut meats, fresh earth & undergrowth provides contrasting gravity.

With a flavour filled palate of medium plus weight, this is great Pinot Noir from the get go. Oak only plays supporting role, providing great texture and mouthfeel, but the fruit is the star here, brimming with energy and juicy acidity."
