"The vines for this wine were just opposite where I wrote this tasting note, incredibly lush in vegetation and waist deep in broad beans. The vines amble gently up a hill and are framed by thatches of gum trees. Such a beautiful site and sight. The wine sees a bit of new oak.

Lemon balm, balsa wood, faint marzipan, concentrated citrus notes – a beautiful perfume. Slips across the palate with a light oiliness then puckers up nicely and tartly to close. Concentrated, layered, oak spice through nectarine, lightly savoury but deliciously fresh too. Wonderful expression, plenty going on, superb drinking."

Bouquet: Delightful combination of fresh cut grass, spicy and vanilla oak aromas supported by tropical notes.

Palate: Vibrant fruit lifted by citrus nuances. Very complex already with lovely stone fruit nuances and toasty characteristics. Barrel fermentation is seamless and playing second role. A brilliant example of this classic blend.

Cellar: Enjoy now or for up to 15 years.

Oak: 60% of the wine for 9 months in French oak which 70% is new.

Alcohol: 13%
