"A Kevin John of considerable, grand-cru-like intensity, holding impeccable poise in its stride, contrasting accentuated grapefruit zest and succulent, ripe white peach fruit with a taut line of well-honed acidity. This is a vintage of texture, fullness and presence, with fruit and oak uniting seamlessly to propel each other forward with considerable volume. This may not be the most graceful Kevin John, nor the longest lived, but it sure will turn some heads along the way. July 2014 release."

"Cashew, almond, honey and spice with fruit leaning towards the citrus spectrum (grapefruit/lime/lemon) and some white melon. And do I imagine some mint and white chocolate in there? Intense and tight, medium bodied, a little chalky with a bright burst of acidity and some tonic flavours. Toast and savoury stuff rolls onto the finish and the wine has a kind of glossy honeyed ride, even though it's in no way a 'soft' wine. Certainly has a pulse! Very good, but not really a wine for now: give it a couple more years."
Gary Walsh, The Wine Front, March 2014

"Medium straw-yellow colour, and a rather lifted bouquet showing oak and mealy, hazelnut and creamy lees notes plus a hint of acetate/volatile acidity. Rich, concentrated flavour, with high acidity firming the palate and finish. Long carry, too. Very good now, but another year should see its components better resolved."
Huon Hooke, The Gourmet Traveller Wine Guide 2015.
