"Hang on to your hats boys and girls, Cullen are back in the game. Those 'other' critics may have gone large on what I'd like to call 'the experimental vintages' between 2008 and 2011, but trust me, this is the one. It's hit the sweet spot. The right alcohol. The right ripeness. The righteous. The right stuff. The nexus of Margaret River, Cabernet and Cullen - gone boom. Release July 2014 Perfect ripeness. Floral perfume, regional seaweed, aniseed and bay leaf, mixed berries " red, black and blue " backed with beautiful mocha and cedar oak. Medium bodied, super fine dense 'graphite' tannin " to the tooth " freshness, fruit weight, flavour, elegance and length. All here. Not a hair out of place, and yet, has character and charisma. Vivacious. Not trying too hard. Pitch perfect Margaret River Cabernet. A wine for Australia to be proud of."

"Another great year in the legendary lineage of Diana Madeline. This is a release of grand persistence and monumental longevity; classic, elegant, graceful and precise. From the outset, it has a more structural and savoury personality, honed, determined, and defined by impeccable, finely textured tannins. It opens into signature hallmarks of blackcurrant, cassis, cedar and suggestions of violets, then into impeccable red cherries and rose buds, coasting long and effortless through the finish. Understated, savoury allure is supported by evenly balanced, vibrant acidity and an excellent undercurrent of classy, high cocoa dark chocolate French oak. For the record, 76% cabernet sauvignon, 17% merlot and 7% cabernet franc, matured for 19 months in 38% new French oak barriques. July 2014 release."

"Medium-depth red colour with a purple tinge. Shy, subdued bouquet with a fruit-driven kind of simplicity. Red and dark fruits. Violets come through on the palate, which is firm, taut, and proportioned. A medium- to full-bodied, elegant cabernet blend with poise and understated class. There's a purity of fruit about it. Lovely drinking and worth cellaring."
