Restrained, supple and elegant cooler season cabernet blend with a spicy, petit verdot-driven aroma of dark plums, mulberries, cassis and violets, supported by lightly smoky and fine-grained cedar/mocha oak. There's a dusty whiff of herbaceousness and mint, also present beneath the fine, but surprisingly firm palate. Dark olives and small berry fruits, green pepper and creamy oak are framed by fine-grained but grippy tannins, finishing long but a fraction closed. Should develop more charm and complexity with time.
