Wine Orbit 98 points!“This is total seduction. Youthful yet immensely complex and harmonious, the gorgeous bouquet shows dark plum, blueberry, cedar and violet characters, with touches of bay leaf and clove. The palate is concentrated and beautifully rounded and offers layers of rich texture and delectable fruit flavours, brilliantly structured by fine, chalky tannins. The wine is powerful and graceful at the same time, and offers a huge potential for stylish development. A blend of 61% merlot, 20% cabernet sauvignon and 19% cabernet franc from their Gimblett Gravels vineyard.”

Bob Campbell MW 95 points!“A dense and obviously youthful red with dark berry, blackcurrent, cassis and raspberry flavours together with graphite and pepper spice, and a hint of violet and floral characters. Quite closed with a firm structure. Hard to judge now. Plenty of potential. Tasting this wine encouraged me to open a 2007 'Sophia', which was in magnificent form.”

Raymond Chan 19.5/20 points!“This is a powerfully concentrated, succulently sweet Merlot/Cabernet blend with exotic oaking, matching fine structure and youthful vitality”
