eRobertParker.com 91+ points!"Deep garnet-purple colored, 2010 Gimblett Gravels Merlot has a core of warm black plums, black berry preserves and cassis aromas with touches of cedar, cloves and dark chocolate. Medium bodied and packed with tight-knit, muscular fruit, it has a great backbone of medium to firm, finely grained tannins, balanced acid and a long finish. Approachable now, it should keep to 2020+."

"Moderately dense, ripe Merlot with berry, spice, pepper, oak and raspberry flavours. Bright, high energy wine with assertive acidity and fine drying tannins. A bright, focused red that needs food and will age well, at least in the medium term."
