"Lloyd Reserve Shiraz is sourced from estate grown, 80 year old vines. The very low yields ensure fruit with intense varietal character.
The 1998 Lloyd Shiraz is brooding deep ruby/purple red in colour and has a bouquet that shows a complex array of black plum, raspberry and spicy aromas with hints of toasty smoke.
The palate is rich and heavy, with excellent structure. It displays ripe berry fruit and spicy aromas with a herbal lift, balanced by well intergrated oak. The flavours coat the palate and linger on the finish.
While enjoyable now, this wine will continue to develop with careful cellaring for the next ten years."
