"Reasonably concentrated sauvignon blanc with real power and a seamless texture. Grapefruit, gooseberry, red capsicum and chalky mineral characters are the most obvious descriptors although others emerged when the wine was tasted again a few hours later. I like the uncompromising dryness and its impressive length. Cloudy Bay has enjoyed such spectacular success over nearly 30 years but manages to maintain an extremely high level of quality even if it is no longer the clear and consistent leader it once was."
