"2013 saw a return to the warm, sun-bathed seasons we experienced through the 2000s. The days were warm and the nights cool, a weather pattern that has given the wine great colour, deep aroma and perfectly formed tannins. There is plenty of spicy, dark fruit power here. Five to ten years in the cellar would do it no harm at all."

"Clonakilla keeps getting this wine right. It's no more than medium-bodied but it's firm and spicy and succulent; it shows off the combination of region and variety but more importantly, it's straight-up delicious drinking. Balance here is spot on.

Colour is glowing purple/crimson. There's just enough tannin to make it worthy of some cellar time. But if you drink it now, you're not missing out on anything; it has tasty drinkability all sewn up"
