The super-intense, indeed almost painful, broad-shouldered flavors possess evident minerality and excellent delineation that possess a bracing salinity on the hugely long finale. ”The 2019 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru yielded 35hl this year and is matured 50% in new and used barrels and the rest in tank. It has a well-defined bouquet with precise scents of yellow flowers, struck flint and smoke. I may actually prefer this to the Clos des Hospices cuvée. The palate is fresh on the entry with crisp acidity, taut and focused and full of energy. The Clos des Hospices has more depth and intensity on the finish, so overall it has the upper hand, but this is a serious Les Clos that will give 20–25 years of drinking pleasure.” - Neal Martin, Vinous Media
