"The largest cuvee, the 2012 Chardonnay spent time in new oak (20%) and tank (80%). Abundant notes of Mandarin oranges and tangerines emerge from this expressive, medium-bodied, killer value. This dry Chardonnay is a big-time home run for Chateau St. Jean. It, too, should be consumed over the next 1-2 years.

"The amazing 2012 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast possesses lots of tropical fruit, honeysuckle, pineapple and tangerine notes. Half went through malolactic and the other half was blocked. With lots of minerality as well as a Chablis-like character, it is a major sleeper of the vintage. This beauty should drink well for 1-2 years."
