[SOLD-OUT] Chateau Louviere Pessac Leognan 1993

Anyone who follows Bordeaux knows that La Louviere is on a hot streak. Moreover, their wines remain under-priced, so jump on the bandwagon before there is a 20%-30% rise in price. The 1993 exhibits a saturated dark ruby/purple color, and a tight but excellent nose of ripe, black-cherry and cassis fruit, minerals, and toasty new oak. The wine possesses excellent flavor concentration and fatness (not a trait of many 1993 clarets), a ripe, chewy texture, and a long, heady, rich, moderately tannic finish. The fruit and tannin suggest it should be drunk early; it should last for 10-15 years. Wine Advocate # 97 Feb 1995 Robert Parker
