Wine List/Chateau Latour

[SOLD-OUT] Chateau Latour 1993

Latour's 1993 is a top success for the vintage, but it will not be ready to drink for at least 8-10 years. Approximately 50% of the harvest was eliminated from the final blend. In stylistic terms, the 1993 is similar to this property's 1966 and 1971 - both among the finest efforts for these vintages. The dense, medium to full-bodied 1993 exhibits layers of richness, plenty of dry, hard tannin, and enough sweet fruit, glycerin, and extraction to balance out the wine's tough personality. This muscular, dense wine requires 10 years of cellaring; consume it over the subsequent 15-20 years. Wine Advocate # 97 Feb 1995 Robert Parker (90-92) Drink: 2005 - 2025
