Region: France, Cô tes du Rhô ne,  Châ teauneuf-du-Pape

The property of Château La Nerthe has more than 90 ha. of vines. Archives attest to its birth in the sixteenth century, in 1560. At the end of the nineteenth century, following the phylloxera crisis, Commander Joseph Ducos, then at the head of the estate, worked hard to re-establish the vineyard to how we know it today.

The vines are treated organically and grown in varied soils of clay-limestone, sand-clay, sandstone dotted with famous rolled pebbles.

The color of this wine is garnet with red highlights. The nose is very expressive, registering red fruits (strawberries) and sweet spices (cedar, sandalwood). The mouth is round in attack, with a lot of tannic sweetness in the middle of the mouth. The finish is long and balanced. Elegance and balance dominate this vintage marked by a hot and dry summer. The fruit comes to marry spices and this gives birth to a very beautiful vintage of great substance.
