Gary Walsh 98+ points!Cherry, blackcurrant, sweet and lightly smoky, black olives, beautiful wood " vanilla/cedar " almost a minty perfume above. Medium bodied, fineness of tannin " meshing and very firm " but such high quality. Has a sort of warm glycerol richness to offset all that structure. Palpable 'minerality' here. What a beautiful old wine this will make. Always a wine of gentle charm and individual character, but this vintage is something special. I'd love to taste it around 2050..
