Château de la Nauve is situated 40km from Bordeaux, in the North-East of the Gironde department, between Libourne and Castillon La Bataille.

The terroir of Saint-Emilion dominates the right bank of the Dordogne River. The Château de la Nauve is in the South-East side of a cluster of villages situated between river and hills. The estate stretches over the three main villages of the appellation: St-Laurent-des-Combes, St-Emilion and St-Hippolyte. It consists of 7 hectares on AOC St-Emilion and 3 hectares on Grand Cru St-Emilion

Age of vines: 35 years old and the oldest from 1900

Vinification: Fermentation in small quantities in concrete tanks

Elevage: 15 months in oak barrels (25% new oak)

Area under vines: 10.50 hectares

Soil Type: 70% sand 30% clayey sand

Cepages: 90% Merlot 10% Cabernet Franc
